Women On Fire — FGF Highlights, Las Cruces, NM

In most cities, fluoride flows through the city water system. But, in Las Cruces, I think the water is caffeinated!! These Fresh Grounded women were on fire! They came from Texas, Arizona and all over New Mexico — different ages, different races, different denominations… but one thing in common… these women were full of the love of God!

Sparks were already flying when Liz Curtis Higgs and I arrived at the church. We were greeted by cheers, hoots and hollers from over 170 volunteers who were gathered just outside the sanctuary.

All I can say is WOW, what a way to finish up our FGF 2016 season! God gave Kathy Crispin the initial vision to bring FGF to Las Cruces, but her church didn’t have the seating capacity we needed. That didn’t stop her! She reached out to Ilda at First Assembly Las Cruces which could seat all the sisters! And the six co-host churches that stepped up to help? Such a blessing. That is what I love about Fresh Grounded Faith — it really is kingdom minded, bringing the community of Christ together in unity!

Every seat was full and so were our hearts as Michael O’Brien led us in worship. He had every woman on her feet, hands lifted high! Liz had us in laughter and tears. And, I got to remind the women that each of us are Loved, Accepted, Complete and Known… we LACK nothing in Christ!

How about a Getaway with a Takeaway? Join me, Kirk Cameron, Chelsea Cameron, Laura Story, Meredith Andrews and Michael O’Brien for a Caribbean Cruise February 19-26, 2017. Only 20 cabins remain! Click here for more info.

The best part is that now there are 20 new sisters in Christ who will party with us for eternity in Heaven — yes, 20 women received new life in Christ! There were 92 women who got a fresh start with Jesus, and many women signed up for bible studies. Love that!! And, these sensational women in the Southwest sponsored 63 children through Compassion International — that’s 63 children rescued from poverty in Jesus Name!! Now, I am fired up!!

As we wrap up our FGF conferences for this year, I am overwhelmed with gratitude to the Lord for how He works in us and through us and often, in spite of us!! I am thankful for all the Local Conference Coordinators from all the cities this year. I am thankful for the ladies in our office who work so hard for women they will never meet. I am beyond grateful for Terrie Bitter, FGF’s National Conference Director. Without her tireless work, bounding energy, genuine love for women and the Lord, Fresh Grounded Faith wouldn’t be so smokin’ hot!! Her husband Jimmy (who somehow got the nickname, His Royal Highness) and Callen (aka, C.J. Crumb) help Terrie do her thing with joy!

This Thanksgiving, I have a ton more reasons to be grateful — the love of God is burning bright!
