The Hospitality State Welcomes FGF

Now, I know why they call Mississippi the Hospitality State!

This past weekend, I was touched by women from all over the state who welcomed Fresh Grounded Faith with overwhelming kindness and a warm and welcoming spirit. In Mississippi, the tea is sweet, but the people are even sweeter!

The weekend was filled with fun, laughter, tears…

… and a powerful word from my dear friends.

Stormie Omartian always shares so much wisdom from her life and how she has grown to trust God. She always has so much to share, which is why I love when she is with us.

I loved chit-chatting with Lisa Whelchel on Friday night!

We got real…

… about how important it is to reach out to someone when you are in the dark, like Lisa did with me several years ago. We will be in the dark until we reach out and find His light.

Girls, if you are in the dark and your heart is overwhelmed, don’t run and hide. Go gutsy!

For those women who needed a taste of something different on Saturday, Lisa returned and provided us with some laughter and a whole lot of grace. Many of the ladies shared with me that they enjoyed her message on how God’s grace frees us.

The weekend went by so fast!

Our time together was short, but I sensed we were all able to minister to the many women present and, of course, many ministered to us. Speaking of being ministered to… 26 precious new sisters chose to renew their commitment to Christ with a Fresh Start and their lives will be changed forever. Thank You, Lord!!!

We are so grateful to the 68 women who opened their hearts up to sponsor a child through Compassion International. These children will find freedom from poverty in Jesus’s name.

We are blessed to have served with the co-host churches in this region who felt the call to get involved with Fresh Grounded Faith.

I am grateful that He would invite us to be a part of it!

Were you at FGF Jackson? If so, we would love to hear from you. Please share your favorite memory from this weekend with your new friends.
