Jennifer Rothschild Releases Third Album: Out of the Darkness
Oasis Music is pleased to announce the release of Jennifer Rothschild's most recent album entitled Out of the Darkness. Recorded in Nashville, TN and produced by Craig Alea, this is her third release since 1987. The singles released for radio air play are Someday for adult contemporary formats, and Let the Words for praise and worship formats.
Contrary to what the title might imply, Jennifer is not "out of the darkness" in the physical sense. Since the age of 15, Jennifer has been losing her eyesight due to a degenerative eye disease with the prognosis of blindness. In recent years however, her sight has diminished faster than before. Consequently, it is out of that darkness that Jennifer has gained the inspiration for many of the songs on this album.
"It seems that right now God has not chosen to deliver me from this struggle, but instead His grace has been most obvious to me as He continues to deliver me through the struggle. This album is a reflection of the encouragement I have received from the Lord and I hope it will, in turn, encourage others."
In a recent interview with Jennifer, she explains how this album is different from her previous compilations.
"I try to write music that reflects the growth and maturity I have experienced. Writing these songs was an honest attempt to communicate the realities of living within our humanity, yet at the same time striving to be Christ-like."
Jennifer continues to travel throughout the country, which has included appearances with Grammy Award winner Larnelle Harris, Billy Sprague and others. Jennifer and her husband Philip, currently reside in Oklahoma with their 8 year old son Clayton.
