It was like seeing old friends again. Shannon Calhoun did another beautiful job this year as our Local Conference Coordinator, and the volunteers and eight co-host churches were such servants. Thank you all so very much.

And the friends who came with me! Such a fun group…

We laughed hard. Really hard. Love how these people encourage me.

I consider Liz Curtis Higgs a dear friend, and not only does she crack me up, but she encourages my heart every time we’re together. All of the ladies loved just loved her! How could you not? And while Valorie Burton and I have served together at other ministry events, this was her first time to join us for an FGF. She is a rockstar! Bright and funny and so practical. And Michael O’Brien… I’m always so thankful when he leads worship for us. The ladies all love him, and so do I! Thankful for his heart for leading others in praise and worship. See? It really was a great weekend.

We are celebrating the 36 women who made decisions for Christ! Thank you, Lord! Because of the generous hearts of so many, 67 children were rescued from poverty through Compassion International. Yes, it was so evident that God was with us from beginning to end. Thank you again to everyone who played a part in the weekend. I’m forever grateful.
