You should have heard Dr. Phil and I trying to practice our Spanish on the plane. Hysterical! “Hola,” “Buenos Dias,” “Buenos Tardes!” All Phil wanted to know how to say was, “Where’s the food?” Story of his life, I think.

We were given such a unique and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity by Compassion International to travel down to South America and meet some of their families and sponsored children. These kids are not only being rescued from poverty, but they now have the opportunity to be developed socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

There were so many precious children to play with! Games, songs, outdoor activities…you name it. We even sang, “Happy birthday” to a little boy. He seemed so happy. My heart was so full in that moment. Actually, it’s been pretty full since the first moment I got here!

Phil and I have created an audio journal for y’all to keep up with us as we spend a few more days here. We like to call it our “audio adventures.” Keep up with us as we continue to be blessed by this ministry.
