The air was buzzing with enthusiasm when I walked into CrossPoint Church to meet the 168 volunteers who were helping us pull off this Kingdom-minded event. Before we even got started on Friday night, I just knew that the Lord was already moving because His joy in these women was so obvious.

Shaun Groves led worship and you could barely hear him at times because the women sang so loudly their honest love for God made every note sung absolutely beautiful.

I shared how to unleash the truth of Philippians 4:13 in our lives and taught that we can hope in God. Hope is not a cop-out. It is actually the way we opt in to everything God has for us.

Laura Story sang and shared about the power of surrender. She taught us that to truly say, “I can do all things through Christ,” you’ve got to be willing to say, “I can’t” and “I won’t” do any of this life on my own … I surrender all.

Then there was Katherine Wolf. Oh, girl. She rocked her wheelchair on that stage and her whole life preached about the power of Christ. Talk about a woman full of joy!

She shared one of the passages of Scripture that gets her through her hard days is 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. She reminded us to focus on the unseen because that is what lasts. And, she said, “What is internal is eternal.” So powerful.

Well, Shaun, Laura, Katherine, and our whole FGF team are from the opposite coast so the time change was starting to wear on us … we were getting tired! And, that’s where the joy of the Lord became so obvious to me once again.

All of us on the platform were dragging a little before the morning started, but by the time we walked into that sanctuary Saturday morning with those joy-filled women, strength rose in each of us. Their joy was contagious! What a fantastic group of sisters who we are now all completely crazy about!

And, it was amazing to see what else God did in Chino! We celebrated 4 new sisters in Christ, 28 women who chose to renew their commitment to the Lord, and 69 children sponsored through Compassion International. Praise God!

Thank you, FGF Chino, for being women who show the joy of the Lord and share the joy of the Lord. We are all stronger because of you!
