There was so much wisdom in her reference to us as “little people,” and I loved it!

It made me think of Psalm 8:4, which says:

What is mankind that You are mindful of them,
human beings that You care for them?

And when we back up to verse 3 of the same passage, we get the big picture:

When I consider Your heavens,
the work of Your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which You have set in place,
what is mankind that You are mindful of them,
human beings that You care for them?

How big is He? And how small are we?

All of us are so little, so frail, so fragile and weak. And yet, He loves us!

Oh, girl, God does love us all, and His love for us is perfect and pure, in spite of our inadequacies.

Tonda was right when she said we were His “little people,” and even though we don’t measure up, He knows us fully (Psalm 139) and says we’re valuable (Matthew 6:26).

Beautiful, right?

Well, sister, that’s the God we serve. His love for us knows no limits, and we felt it all weekend during Fresh Grounded Faith Oswego.

Tammy Trent sang of His love and faithfulness, and as she shared her story of tragedy and loss, God’s love and faithfulness was so very clear.

When Crystal Paine shared about what her life—and our lives—would look like if we “lived as loved,” we all got a glimpse of how God’s love for His “little people” can change everything about our lives.

And Shaun Groves was so inspiring as he led us in worship. He blew us away with his story of how God’s love pursued one boy in Kenya and radically changed that boy’s future.

It was clear that God’s love was central to the messages and worship shared over the weekend. We didn’t plan it that way, but God did. You see, God is love (1 John 4:16), and He reminded us of that throughout the weekend.

As God’s love became prominent and our hearts were directed to Him, women who attended responded in faith. We got to celebrate 2 new sisters in Christ, 6 women who chose to renew their commitment to Him, and 35 children who were rescued from poverty through Compassion International.

Praise the Lord for moving in the hearts of these women and for reminding us of what a big, incredible God we serve.

I want to give a huge thanks to our host church, Harvest New Beginnings, and our co-host churches. I’m also so grateful for our Local Conference Coordinators, Lynn Schilling and Mandy Spigle, and all of the volunteers who helped bring this conference to Oswego.

Sister, I was so glad to be reminded that I am one of God’s “little people” who He loves. And, so are you! So let’s “live as loved” this week, okay? Okay!
