Spill the Beans LIVE with Katherine Wolf at Fresh Grounded Faith Atlanta, GA [Episode 272]

Spill Beans Atlanta Georgia Katherine Wolf Michael O'Brien

Get ready, my friend, because today we’re headed to Atlanta, Georgia where we recorded this episode LIVE at a Fresh Grounded Faith event.

Katherine Wolf and Michael O’Brien joined me in spilling the beans, and WOW! I was so grateful for their wisdom and perspective as they helped answer a wide range of questions from the audience!

We were asked about the hardest lesson we’ve ever had to learn, if we’ve ever struggled with comparison as a result of our disabilities, and how to deal with teenagers who are struggling with gender dysphoria.

Georgia on My Mind – FGF Highlights, Cumming, GA

Who sang that great old song, “Just an old sweet song keeps Georgia on my mind”? When I got home from Fresh Grounded Faith Cumming, that song came to mind as I kept reminiscing about the weekend.

That’s because there were many sweet songs and echoes of sweet moments at First Redeemer Church that keep Georgia on my mind.

The Place Where Southern Hospitality Shines – FGF Highlights, Enterprise, AL

Did you know there’s a boll weevil monument in downtown Enterprise, Alabama? Friend, it’s true! And, this weekend at Fresh Grounded Faith, the sweet ladies of Enterprise told us all about it.

This 1919 landmark was erected to show appreciation to the boll weevil. But you might be surprised to hear why! You see, this beetle—who likes to feast on cotton buds and flowers—had actually destroyed the people of Enterprise’s crops. But, this community didn’t give up!

If You’ve Got Joy, You’ve Got Strength – FGF Highlights, Chino, CA

Nehemiah 8:10 says that the joy of the Lord is our strength. Well, since that is true, let me just say that there were some mighty strong women at Fresh Grounded Faith Chino!

The air was buzzing with enthusiasm when I walked into CrossPoint Church to meet the 168 volunteers who were helping us pull off this Kingdom-minded event. Before we even got started on Friday night, I just knew that the Lord was already moving because His joy in these women was so obvious.

We Celebrated Being ‘She Can’ Women – FGF Highlights, Springfield, MO

The theme was “She Can” and our verse was Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” We learned to speak the three hope confessions of “She Can” women and the three actions of a “She Can woman.” Wow is all I can say!

I not only taught the truth of Philippians 4:13 from the stage, but we also saw it on stage in my friends, Katherine Wolf and Sheila Walsh. Katherine taught us that the good things often are the hard things, and Sheila encouraged us to invite God into all areas of our lives—including our past and our shame.
