Delaware Drinks in God’s Goodness

We returned Sunday from Fresh Grounded Faith (FGF) in Delaware and are running over with gratefulness.

I must say, I just love the sisters in the Northeast! They were so real and receptive. Our Conference Director, Theresa Wiggins, wrote a recap email to our staff this morning, and I couldn’t communicate what God did among us any better! So, here’s an excerpt from her email to give you a sip of Fresh Grounded Faith!

God’s Glory Falls on Vermont

What do Ben and Jerry’s, Green Mountain Coffee and Fresh Grounded Faith (or otherwise known as FGF) have in common? Vermont! Oh my friends, I woke up this morning thanking God for our time in Vermont this past weekend. I find it hard to put into words just what God did there; what He did in my own heart, and how grateful I am.

Then, I got an email from our conference director Theresa Wiggins and she captured it all so perfectly that I asked her if I could just paste it here for you to read.

God Gives What He Expects

When I was a little girl, my Dad would give me and my brothers some money to buy Christmas presents for my mom and him. It was never much but just enough to find something we could wrap and present to them.

I remember the year I picked out two coffee mugs for them. It was probably 1972, and my Mom had a Mug Tree on our gold counter top in the kitchen with the orange beads hanging as curtains above the sink! The mugs weren’t expensive; they weren’t the height of mug fashion either! But, they weren’t tacky, and they were purchased with thoughtfulness, and I used everything my Dad gave me to buy them for him and my mom.
