Glory Came Down in College Station – FGF Highlights, College Station, TX

The Spirit of God was all over the women who gathered at Fresh Grounded Faith College Station. I sensed it when I first arrived for the volunteer meet and greet.

After giving them a proper Texas “howdy,” I felt enveloped in love by those Texas women. Each of the 100 volunteers stepped up and showed off the goodness of God as they served with such joy.

Then when Michael O’Brien and his son, Joseph O’Brien, led us in worship, God’s presence filled that sanctuary and filled each of our hearts. It was beautiful!

I taught from Isaiah 6 about the impact of God’s glory coming down in our lives. Everything shakes! And what shakes us can shape us to be the women God designed us to be.

Kelly Minter taught about staying connected to the Vine as she walked us through John 15. “Abide in Me,” the passage says over and over, and it just reinforced our need to draw close to God.

I sensed God speaking to all of us through His Word, and I for one heard His voice in my spirit reminding me to stay close to Him through His Word.

But as we stay close to God, we should also prepare our hearts. Because when God’s glory comes down, our issues may come up! And when I say, “our issues come up,” here’s what I mean…

On Saturday morning, we invited the women to come to the altar and pray, and sister … wow! They came, and it was full. The altar became the safe place for women to deal with their issues, find hope and healing, and experience the kindness of God.

Seriously, glory came down in College Station.

I’m so thankful for our host church, Central Church, and the many co-host churches who came together to make this event happen. Our Local Conference Coordinator, Christy Hanson, did a great job leading everyone involved with kindness and grace toward a common purpose. Their work was for the Kingdom, and the Lord blessed their efforts.

He showed up and did what only He can do as we celebrated 8 new sisters in Christ, 28 women who chose to renew their commitment to the Lord, and 41 children sponsored through Compassion International. Praise the Lord!

He was faithful, and we are grateful.

God’s glory came down in College Station, and we give Him all the praise! To God be the glory. Amen.

Blessings,

Jennifer and the FGF Team!
