Great Love From the Great State – FGF Highlights, Temple, TX

Today I am thanking the Lord for a great Fresh Grounded Faith weekend in Temple, TX. When they say everything is bigger in Texas, they are right! Big love from sweet women who serve a big God, and they made us all feel so welcome!

I was excited to spend some time with my dear friend, Karen True, who helped me write my first Bible study, “Walking By Faith.”  It was a weekend full of laughter and encouragement and praise to the One Who loves us with an everlasting love. Incredible.

One of my favorite parts of Fresh Grounded Faith is getting to have such dear friends with me. Liz Curtis Higgs is so funny and genuine, and a wonderful encourager in the Lord… if you’ve never seen her perform the Righteous Ruth Rap, here it is. So great! And in usual form, Michael O’Brien led all of us in worship so well — such a sweet time of praise Friday and Saturday that I’m so thankful for.

We are celebrating 44 women who made decisions for Christ, 43 children sponsored through Compassion International, and another completely sold-out conference! Thank you so much to Temple Bible Church and the 12 co-host churches for putting on such a well-organized event, to local conference coordinator Beth Mackey and all the volunteers for doing a beautiful job making sure everything was done with excellence, and to Nan Dickson for the gorgeous photos. Yes, there is much to be thankful for — thank you, Lord!
