Little Rock Rocked (Again!) – FGF Highlights, Little Rock, AR

We were so excited to be invited back to The Church at Rock Creek for another Fresh Grounded Faith last weekend! What a fun, kind, gracious group of ladies!

It was like seeing old friends again. Shannon Calhoun did another beautiful job this year as our Local Conference Coordinator, and the volunteers and eight co-host churches were such servants. Thank you all so very much.

And the friends who came with me! Such a fun group…

Women On Fire — FGF Highlights, Las Cruces, NM

In most cities, fluoride flows through the city water system. But, in Las Cruces, I think the water is caffeinated!! These Fresh Grounded women were on fire! They came from Texas, Arizona and all over New Mexico — different ages, different races, different denominations… but one thing in common… these women were full of the love of God!

Sparks were already flying when Liz Curtis Higgs and I arrived at the church. We were greeted by cheers, hoots and hollers from over 170 volunteers who were gathered just outside the sanctuary.

Great Love From the Great State – FGF Highlights, Temple, TX

Today I am thanking the Lord for a great Fresh Grounded Faith weekend in Temple, TX. When they say everything is bigger in Texas, they are right! Big love from sweet women who serve a big God, and they made us all feel so welcome!

I was excited to spend some time with my dear friend, Karen True, who helped me write my first Bible study, “Walking By Faith.”  It was a weekend full of laughter and encouragement and praise to the One Who loves us with an everlasting love. Incredible.

How Sweet It Is- Fresh Grounded Faith Highlights, Belleville, IL

I was just in one of the sweetest places on the planet!  And, I don’t say that just because of the 1000 women I met in Belleville, Illinois this past weekend.  I also say this because Belleville is where, in 1869, a certain candy was born.  Guess which one? Here is probably the only hint you need: President Ronald Reagan loved this itty-bitty burst of sweetness. Yep, you got it…Jelly Bellies! Jelly Belly jelly beans were invented in Belleville, Illinois by a young candy maker named Gustav Goelitz over one hundred years ago.
