If you’ve ever attended one of my Fresh Grounded Faith women’s events, you know that my guests and I always “Spill the Beans” during one of the sessions. We take the stage with a stack of your questions and answer them unplanned.
One afternoon, first-grader Hannah came home from school after a long day of testing.
“Well, Hannah,” her mom, Joni, asked, “how did the tests go?”
My mom used to have a plaque in our kitchen with bright flowers painted all around the border, and it read, “Bloom where you’re planted.”
Sometimes we love where we’re planted, don’t we? Sometimes … well, not so much.
When my oldest son, Clayton, was in high school, I found him lying on his floor instead of finishing a big English project.
“What’s going on?” I asked in disbelief. “What about your portfolio? Are you already done?”
He responded with a groan.
I once got an email from a grown-up mean girl.
She didn’t know me and I’d never met her, but after she read my website bio, she felt the need to give me what for!
And, can I be honest? After I read her email, I felt the same need!
