The Secret to Finding Encouragment

I’ve been on the phone, and on my knees, a lot lately because I have some friends that are really struggling. Health issues, relationship hurts, financial worries, and just plain stress seem to be epidemics in my little part of the world.

Can you relate? Oh, I bet you can.

I want to help lift them up out of their despair, fear, or disappointment. But, in and of myself, I can’t. That is God’s deal and I know He will.

All I can do is pray and encourage them.

While I was trying to encourage them, it dawned on me… no matter who I am talking to, and no matter what their problem may be, my encouragement seems the same.

Wanna know what it is?

It’s way simple because life is too complicated for encouragement to require an instruction manual!

What Do You Do When Depression Tries to Take Over?

Spill The Beans

Dear Jennifer,

I have written to you before, but that was about two years ago.  At that time in June, I lost my eyesight in my right eye do to a blood clot going to the retina and exploding it.  They called it a main retina occlusion.  The doctors say there is nothing they can do to reconstruct it, and now my left eye is getting blurry.

I was in bed for a year and a half due to depression.  I then put the armor on more.  I listened to healing tapes and prayed with my prayer partner and best friend.  Two months ago I was getting the point…then I seemed to get knocked down again with the flu, which in turn pushed me back in bed and back into depression.  How do you do it?  You’re blind every day and yet you keep working and giving a smile with your songs and testimonies.

Love, Pam
