Our first EVER Fresh Grounded Faith conference during a worldwide pandemic is a wrap—and what an amazing experience it was!
We all showed up wearing masks and staying 6 feet away from each other but, girl, we all felt seen, known, and connected.

Girl, I’ve got Georgia on my mind! It was wonderful being back in Augusta last weekend for another Fresh Grounded Faith event. I’m telling you, these southern sisters were on fire for the second year in a row!
As the doors opened on Friday evening, one of the women entered with a t-shirt that read, “He left the 99 to rescue me” (Matthew 18:12). What a fitting verse this turned out to be!
You know that feeling you get when you’re with family? You belong. You’re safe. You’re accepted and loved.
Well, that may not all be totally true about how you feel when you’re with family because you may have a tricky, prickly family dynamic. But, it is totally 100% true when you’re with the family of God. And, that’s what it felt like this past weekend at Fresh Grounded Faith Springfield.
The grace of our Lord was poured out on us in Indianapolis this past weekend. He came to Indy to seek and to save that which was lost, drawing women to Himself, releasing children from poverty, and sharing His great love with women who may have never felt it. And we at Fresh Grounded Faith got to watch Him work!
Over a thousand women were worshipping, laughing, and learning together, and I loved every minute of it.
We’ve got family everywhere when we’re in the family of God, right? And, that was so obvious at our first Fresh Grounded Faith event of the fall in Plant City, Florida. There were over 1,200 of us sisters all together worshipping, learning, and laughing.
This was our second time to be with these amazing women of Central Florida—including our wonderful local conference coordinator, Kay Morris. We are so very grateful to Kay and to our host church, First Baptist Church Plant City, along with our 11 co-host churches and all our fantastic volunteers.
Did you know that I once brought my own forks to China? It’s true!
A few years ago, my husband, Phil, was invited to teach at Liaoning Normal University in Dalian, China. While I was so excited about this amazing, once-in-a-lifetime trip, I also realized I had a problem.
I cannot eat with chopsticks, and I knew forks would probably be hard to find. So, I packed my own forks—after all, I gotta be in control of my meals!
